Did someone mention tacos and tequila? Mexico City is one of the largest cultural centers in the country and has tons of spectacular museums. For a lesson in Mayan history, visit the Museo Nacional de Antropología where you can take a glance at some of the Mayan artifacts. The Great Pyramid of Tenochtitlán is dedicated to the Aztecs. For handicrafts and arts, make sure to check out The Popular Art Museum. Besides having a great cuisine and several Michelin Star restaurants, Mexico City is famous for its market stalls and street stands as well. Getting around the city is really easy since the metro is very fast and efficient. There are 12 subway lines that can take you from point A to point B in just a couple of minutes. San Angel and Coyoacan neighborhoods are famous for their beautiful buildings and elegant cafes. Artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera spent a lot of their time here. Want to have a close encounter with the amazing pandas? Take a walk down to the Chapultepec Zoo. It features around 2000 animals and the butterfly area is beautiful in particular.
