Home to the largest spice market in the world, New Delhi is a cheerful place that attracts large crowds of tourists. If you get lost, every Delhite is ready to help you out with his own version of the navigation. The bad news is that he will try to help you, even if he doesn’t have a clue about the place you need to be. Take a stroll down to the Lodi Gardens, which is very popular among New Delhi residents. Here you will find the famous Mohammed Shah’s Tomb and a tomb of Bara Gumbad.

This may sound weird, but New Delhi is the only city in the world that has an International Toilet Museum. It includes a rather rare collection of pictures and objects that show in detail the evolution of toilets. For spices, go to the Khari Baoli. It is the largest spice market in Asia. An interesting study shows that although there is a lot of traffic and pollution in the city, New Delhi has been ranked as one of the greenest cities in the world. A visit to New Delhi would not be complete without a visit to the Gandhi Smriti, a museum that is dedicated to one and only Mahatma Gandhi.
