Known as the world’s smallest big city, Stockholm is a very attractive destination for travellers. It is spread through 14 islands and has over 50 bridges. For visitors who arrive by plane will be greeted with many portraits of famous people who lived in the city, and even with a slogan that says “ Welcome to my hometown”. The Architecture here is amazing. It is no wonder, for artists such as Henning Mankell and Stieg Larsson contributed to the cultural life of Stockholm. For shopping, go to the Norrmalm district. There you can find a number of world-famous shops. Galma Stan is the old town and offers many historical landmarks. As for the Östermalm, it is considered to be the wealthiest part of the city.

In winter time, life slowly moves inside due to the cold weather. Luckily, there are numerous museums and indoor activities that will satisfy the needs of every visitor. The restaurant Villa Källhagen is one of the best in the city, although keep in mind that Stockholm is a very expensive city. Visit the Gröna Lund, a superb amusement park in the heart of the city, and don’t leave Stockholm before going to the Nobel Museum that produces traveling exhibitions since 2001.
