Menorca is a part of the Spain’s Balearic Islands and a top summer vacation spot for tourists. It is home to the second largest harbor in the world and the place where mayonnaise was invented. If you decide to visit Menorca, here are some tips on where to go and what are the coolest places to visit on this spectacular island. Cala Turqueta is one of the most famous beaches that is located on the southern side of Menorca. It is best to arrive early, due to lack of parking spots. Bathroom facilities and a few lifeguards are included at this cove. Nudists will love the Cala Trebaluger. It is easily reachable, although you should probably bring your own beverages and food since there are no bars here.

Explore numerous markets and auditoriums in Ferreries, a lovely municipality on the island. The fiesta of Sant Bartomeu is held every year in August here. Other significant tourist sightseeing spots include Catedral de Santa María, El Toro, and Cap de Cavalleria, a glorious lighthouse. The bad news is that you can’t enter it, but the panoramic view of the whole island from this spot is just amazing. Menorca is also well-known for its shoe industry and they produce the local avarcas, chic sandals that are very authentic and comfortable.
