Little India and Kampong Glam are the Islamic areas of the city, where the frenzied pace is exhilarating and smells of fragrant spices fill the air. The street food is not to be missed. This is also the hipster neighbourhood where you’ll find your new favourite bar.

Chinatown and the CBD is the place to head for shopping and for temples. Learn about Singapore’s history at the Chinatown Heritage Centre, visit Sri Mariamman Hindu temple and Thian Hock Keng temple, then head up to the 50th floor of Pinnacle@Duxton housing complex for sweeping panoramas over the city.
